Rob Wright

Banjoist Rob Wright has entertained professionally since 1976 and is making his fifth appearance with the Tucson Pops Orchestra. One of the premier four-string banjoists in the world, Rob has performed throughout North America including in all 50 United States, Mexico and Canada as a member of The New Christy Minstrels, with his wife Linda as the traveling musical group Variety, and as the leader of The Wildcat Jazz Band a world-class traditional jazz band based in Tucson. In addition to being an acclaimed banjo soloist Rob is also well known for his vocal stylings with guitar and ukulele and his relentless humor. He has recorded over a dozen albums, most recently, The Great Banjo Summit And Other Things With Strings with Howard Alden and Tyler Jackson released in March, 2018.

The Parks and Recreation Department runs shuttles from 5 PM to 10 PM from Randolph Golf Course Parking Lot located at 600 S. Alvernon Way.  Shuttle service has been temporarily suspended due to COVID concerns.  We apologize for the inconvenience.
