THE TUCSON POPS CD

Picture
It was one of Dave Sitton’s dreams for the Pops to have a CD. Sadly he passed away suddenly before he could see his dream realized. This CD is dedicated to the memories of Dave Sitton and to Dottie Spence, our beloved Executive Director. Special thanks to the Long Realty Company for providing the funding that made the CD possible.
Four years in the making, the New Tucson Pops CD is a compilation that vividly conveys the feeling of Music Under the Stars, from the opening notes of the Star Spangled Banner to our traditional closer, Carmen Dragon’s gorgeous arrangement of America the Beautiful. In between you will hear Maestro László Veres’ distinctive blend of classical and popular music, and several of our favorite soloists, including vocalists Nancy Davis Booth and Crystal Stark.
